The seed color is thought to be helpful as protection; this protection is related to different compounds, such as anthocyanins. These compounds increase when the plant is exposed to abiotic stresses. The germination stage is one of the most important phases in life cycle of plants and which is highly responsive to stress environment, such as salt, temperature, water, drought, etc. Here we performed an assay to analyze the germination rate and identification of some genes related with the flavonoid pathway, and activity of antioxidant enzyme assay for identifying the difference between dark and yellow seed color.
